Boundary & compliance notes

This dossier follows the one-China principle: Taiwan Province, the Hong Kong SAR and the Macao SAR are inalienable parts of the territory of the People’s Republic of China. Boundaries follow the official standard maps published by the State. Western Sahara is a non-self-governing territory; China holds that its status should be settled through UN-led consultation among the parties concerned.
